Further to Paul LaPolice’s firing

I do not know Paul LaPolice personally.  My only knowledge of him is via his Twitter feed, his weekly radio show on CJOB and his pre and post game comments.  I have no idea if his coaching abilities were worthy of his release yesterday.  I do know this, or can glean this from listening to him speak, the man lived and breathed Blue Bombers and is an honest, hardworking, passionate individual who wanted nothing more than what we all want, Blue Bomber success.  Paul’s professionalism was a breath of fresh air after the Kelly fiasco.

I appreciate the comments from Joe Mack about results.  Certainly the results weren’t there for the Bombers since Paul’s hiring in 2010.  Still it’s sad when a person who so obviously wanted the Bombers to succeed is let go.

Joe Mack believes the Bombers have the talent that’s required to produce a winner and clearly he thinks that the lack of the Bombers ability to win rests with the coaching staff, not the players that he’s provided them to play.  That will remain to be seen of course.  I’m skeptical at best.

I think the wrong the man took the fall this weekend.
