Greetings
Some intriguing match ups this weekend as the #2 team in each division faces off against the division leaders. In the west, I was all set for an upset prediction until it was announced that Drew Tate was unable to play for the Stamps this weekend. Now it’ll be Kevin Glenn against the Lions. I’m really hoping that he can pull it off. It’s ironic that the last time Kevin was this close to a Grey Cup appearance was in 2007 when he lead the Bombers to win against the Toronto in the finals (on the road) but broke his arm in the process and couldn’t play in big game (btw-where is Ryan Dinwiddie now anyway?). This week Drew Tate is on the sidelines with the same injury! If football guards are keeping score they might just give this one to Kevin. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’ll be the case. BC 32 Stamps 21
In Montreal it’s all about Ricky Ray. The leadership he brings to Toronto is invaluable. Combine that with the fact that Montreal, while finishing first, just haven’t looked like the juggernauts they’ve been in the past and you’ve got the making of an upset. I’m calling it Arognauts 38 Juggernauts 32 and it’ll be the Braly bowl in Toronto for the 100th.
In the CIS. I’m picking Laval in the Uteck bowl and McMaster in the Mitchell bowl setting up a Laval-McMaster Vanier Cup next Friday.
And with that……..it’s off to Toronto.
Cheers and have a great weekend.
