Grey Cup 101

Greetings!  Heading out the to the land of green in the morning.  Why do I have a feeling I’m going to be sick of that colour in a few days!

Well, I certainly had last week wrong.  Not a Toronto/Calgary rematch and that’s just fine with me.  I’d hate to have Rob Ford pacing the sidelines in Regina.  So fun fact, there are 8 teams in the CFL and 7 of them have been in the Grey Cup in the last 4 years.  Odd team out?  The Ti-cats, who haven’t been to the big game since 1999!  So there’s your angle.  How can you not cheer for the Tabbies.  Alas, unlike last week when Rogers Centre was a sea of black and yellow, I have a feeling it’ll be a little bit different this week in Saskatchewan.

The key to the game is going to be the running of Kory Sheets vs. the passing of Henry Burris.  If the forecasters hold true and it reaches a high of a balmy -3, it could be a good matchup.  If it’s a blizzard with a -40 windchill, well, not so much.

So while my heart is with Hamilton it’s really going to be hard for them to overcome Saskatchewan’s home field advantage. So here’s the prediction:

Saskatchewan 25, Hamilton 14.

Green is the colour

Football is the game

Where all together

This song is really LAME!

Cheers!  Stay warm
