Good morning.  Welcome to the last regular season game for the Bombers.

Many are thinking this game is a nothing game for the Bombers but far from it.  The Bombers are still in the hunt for a home playoff game.  A Bomber victory and  Calgary loss next week will likely mean the Bomber would host the semi-final.  That’s nothing to sneeze at given they’re 7-1 at home and 3-6 on the road.  If they lose tonight then they’ll have to go on the road and win two games to get to the Grey Cup.  No small task when your starting QB is gone for the season.  On that note……

Tonight Zach Collaros makes his Bomber debut with Chris Strevelor not dressed due to an injury.  The season certainly wasn’t suppose to end like this.  Whether Collaros has had enough time to absorb the Bombers playbook is a huge question mark.  Whether he’ll stay upright is another one.

Keys to victory for the Bombers

  • Protect Collaros
  • Hang onto the ball
  • Pressure Bo

Keys to victory for the Stamps

  • Pressure Collaros
  • Stop Andrew Harris
  • Hit the bit play downfield

Sooner or later the Bombers need to get over the hump and start beating the Stamps.  They did it once this year and will likely have to do it in the playoffs to get to the Grey Cup.  May as well start the winning tonight.

Winnipeg 25. Calgary 20

Elsewhere:

  • Hamilton over Montreal
  • Toronto over Ottawa
  • Edmonton over Saskatchewan

Cheers!
