A weekend of rivalries awaits. Well, at least in 3 of the 4 games, not sure why Ottawa doesn’t play Montreal on Labour Day in what would seem to be a natural rivalry. Anyway, here goes:
In BC (Victoria to be exact), it’s the Lions vs. the Redblacks. Nathan Rourke get’s the start which I hope only means Vernon Adams isn’t quite yet ready to play. Lions have lost 5 in a row but look for some new scenery to perk them up.
BC 28 Ottawa 24
In Hamilton, the struggling Ti-Cats take on the Argos. Any other week I’d be picking the double blue but not at home.
Hamilton 32 Toronto 23
In Calgary it’s the Elks vs. the Stamps. Elks looked like they’d turned the corner a couple of weeks ago but resorted to their old ways of finding ways to lose last week.
Pick the home team in this one.
Calgary 36 Edmonton 33
And of course on Sunday it’s the premiere matchup of the week. Bombers often struggle in Regina even when they’re the better team. Not sure if they are the better team this year but it’s just so tough to win in Regina.
Saskatchewan 32 Bombers 22
There you have it. A home team sweep on the Labour Day weekend.
Cheers
