The Corbett Report enters week 10 of the 2023 CFL Schedule on a high! The Report successfully predicted the outcomes of ALL of the games in week 9 earning a 4-0 sweep for the week. It’s the first time this has happened since 1912 when the Corbett report correctly predicted a win by the Hamilton Alerts over the Toronto Argos to round off a 100% prediction for the week ending November 30, 1912 (their was of course, only one game that week, the 4th Grey Cup).
Report author Jim Corbett reflected on the accomplishment. “I’m simply ecstatic” stated Corbett. “That Calgary win over Toronto was the turning point for the weekend. Obviously, the Stamps Defence got the Domino gift certificates I sent them”. Added Corbett, “I’m particulary happy for my fans who have waited so long for this outcome. In particular, I’m so glad Molly got to see this in her lifetime.”
Still the win has left many Corbett Report followers pondering what to do for week 10. One follower stated “Usually I just wait for the Corbett Report predictions to come out and then do the exact opposite. I’m not sure what to do this week”. Others however are less concerned. Added another follower, “I totally expect Corbett to predict an Edmonton victory over the Bombers this week and return to his usual level of mediocrity.”
Whatever the outcome for week 10, Corbett says he’s glad to get the sweepless streak out of the way. “111 years is a long drought, here’s hoping the next sweep won’t take another 111”.
