Greetings and happy Saturday! It’s game day. 2026 Grey Cup finalists are decided today. Undoubtedly Calgary organizers are hoping for a Edmonton vs. Winnipeg match up but unfortunately it ain’t gonna happen.
In the East, the heavy underdog Blue Bombers (9-9) go up against the Alouettes (14-4). I’m looking for a spirited effort from the Bombers but it won’t be enough. Montreal haven’t lost at home since Pierre Trudeau was Prime Minister and with the leagues MVP in Davis Alexander and the top Canadian in Tyson Philpot the Alouettes will prove to be just too much for the Bombers. With Collaros at the helm though it could be closer than you might think.
Montreal 36 Winnipeg 30
In the West, in spite of playing at home the Elks are the underdogs in this game. An Edmonton victory would cap off a remarkable comeback season for them but it ain’t gonna happen either. The Lions have been knocking on the Grey Cup doors the past few years and this could be their year.
BC 32 Elks 28
So that’ll leave the 113th Grey Cup match up as a Lions vs. Alouette’s affair.
Enjoy the day!
Cheers
